New York Trip Day 2

Day 2 in NYC was super fun!  Lots of shopping, eating, and hanging out with my new BFF's!  We were up early and out after getting like hmmm....3 hours of sleep! 

Here we are before leaving the hotel....

Off to check out Times Square....woohoo!!.....really??!!

The buildings, the signs, everything is massive impressive!!! Loved it!

 

 

A stop at Crumbs bakery....WOW!!! So delish!!!

We ate a fabulous lunch at Celsius at Bryant Park....so cool!!!

Left the restaurant and it was freeeeeezing!!!....can you tell? lol  I wanted to buy a hat sooooooooo bad......

Walked right by "Littlemissmatched".....perfect!!!  I bought my hat and so did everyone else...LOL

My girls would have loved this store, American Girl!....Some day, I'd love to bring them :)

Our last stop was Magnolia Bakery before meeting everyone for a "meet and mingle" gathering!

New York Trip Day 1

I had the most amazing opportunity to go to the Martha Stewart's Dreamers Into Doers Event last week!  The event was at the Martha Stewart Headquarters in New York City!....Wooohooo!!!!  I've never been there so, it was a real treat! Not to mention, I got to go with several fabulous local chicks who are party addicts like me....haha!

We arrived safely Sunday afternoon, we checked in, got layered, and out to look for a place to eat....everything sounded good at this point!

With my roomies, Jill from Modern Cupcake and Rebecca from Fresh Chick Design Studio.  Our other roomie, Andrea hadn't arrived yet!  I was super excited to meet her!

It was fun walking around even though it was like 10 degrees outside!...Here's Rebecca and I goofing off already....ha!  We were just so happy to be there!  It felt like we were young college girls again! :)

After getting lost and walking around in circles...ha!....We ended up at this popular restaurant, CAFETERIA.....LOVED IT!! If you go to NYC, you must go eat here and order the mac-n-cheese spring rolls....amazing!

This next picture totally cracks me up!!!....We all match....did you notice that?  What the heck?!  Jill and Rebecca want to be like me when they grow up...hahaha!!...Just kidding!!  Love you girls!!!

Where are you from? Kennett, Mo.  We live in Kansas City , Mo at the moment.

Married, single, kids? Married and we have 2 boys

 What do you enjoy doing with your free time? Spending time with my family and shopping

 Favorite color? Pink and Blue

 Favorite food? Grilled Chicken , Ice Cream

If you could throw a party for yourself, what would the theme be? Zebra and hot pink and it would be a spa day for the girls!!

Which talent you wish you had, but you don’t? I wish I could sing and I wish I could float. I have swam since I was 4 but have never been able to float.

Who or what inspires you to be creative? My mom. When I was little she always painted pumpkins and sweat shirts. I am now taking after her and never thought I could. She helps me now when she can.

 What thing or things do you enjoy shopping for at Michaels/Hobby Lobby or any craft store? I like to look for new scrapbook paper and material that will create a different look for my clothing.

 Tell me about your etsy shop/online store. How, why, when did you start your business? I started several years ago by making picture frames fit friends that were having babies. I wanted to give a unique gift. A friend told me about etsy so I checked into it and set my shop up with very few frames. I attended several craft shows and did ok but very quickly realized I needed something more than just frames. I started thinking if what I wanted to do and had bought several shirts for my boys for their birthdays and always had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted. I made several shirts for them for holidays and decided to place them on etsy and it took off from their. My hope us that one day I can stay home with my kids!

   What do you love most about blogging, facebook, and/or having your own etsy shop? I enjoy looking at everyones creations and I love catching up with friends on facebook. So many I had list touch with and now can see their lives and how they are doing!

DIY- Valentine's Day Heart Wreath

Ok....so this heart wreath is simply BEAUTIFUL!! It's made with red felt!!  Super easy!  I found the tutorial over at Blog N' Tell.  Another fabulous blog to add to your favorites...ha!
