~Eat~ Sleep~ Play Ball~ Baby Shower

I am super excited to be hosting a baby shower for a special friend this coming Saturday. Her husband is a coach so, she really wants a "sports" theme baby shower.

I quickly contacted my super talented friend, Rebecca from Fresh Chick Design Studio to design a custom invite for this shower.  I was at Hobby Lobby one day and found this adorable metal sign that says "EAT- SLEEP- PLAYBALL". I knew I wanted to include it on the invite.  Here's what Rebecca came up with.......do you love it?!!  So adorable!!

Here are some other pictures from etsy that have inspired me.....

I have tons to do this week.  I will be sure to share pictures of the baby shower after it's over.  If you see any ideas out there, please send them my way!

Thanks for stopping by.  I love your comments! :)

Friday Party Feature {Polka Dots & Puppies}

I love when a party gal takes an idea or concept that the child loves and then turns it into a classy and fun party. That's just what Stacy at She's {kinda} Crafty did for her daughter's 3rd birthday party. Regan loves puppies and the colors pink and blue, so Stacy took those concepts and turned it into a birthday party any 3 year old would go crazy for.

I love the dog dishes brought into the candy bar! It's those little details that make a party!

Healthy Snack Idea {Wonderballs}

Today's post has nothing to do with parties, but I'm sure you won't be disappointed! Last summer I found this recipe and it instantly went into my list of favorites, and whenever I take it somewhere people are always asking for the recipe. I love that you can keep these Wonderballs on hand in the freezer as a ready made snack. The recipe comes from Meal Planning Mommies, be sure to check out their blog for other awesome recipes.

Wonderballs-

1 cup peanut butter
1 cup honey
1/2 cup milled flax seed
2 cups uncooked oatmeal
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup dried fruit
1/2 cup chocolate chips

*I like that you can vary the ingredients every time, use raisins or dried cranberries, only have peanuts on hand, great use those, and maybe almonds next time! I'm not a huge chocolate fan so I always put white chocolate chips in.*

-Mix honey and peanut butter in a large bowl
-Once mixed together add the oatmeal and flax seed, stir together
- Add in your nuts, fruit, and chocolate and mix it all together

Now you will have a big sticky blob. I like to take a little bit out and roll them into balls, placing them on a cookie sheet lined with freezer paper. Once my cookie sheet is filled with Wonderballs, I stick it in the freezer for about 30 min. Once they are mostly hardened I then transfer them to a tupperware to store in the freezer. It seems to be a little easier to get them stored in the tupperware if they are already frozen.

Let us know if you try these and how you like them, and be sure to let Meal Planning Mommies you sure appreciate the recipe too!

Valentine's Day Apparel

I'm one of those crazy moms who likes to dress my child in holiday clothes, so I was a sucker for these darling Valentine's Day shirts.

I am going to attempt to do this heart doily shirt for my little girl. Jean at The Artful Parent has a step by step tutorial on how you can achieve this cute shirt.

Ruffles are in everywhere you look right now, so this ruffled heart shirt is sure to make a statement! Just Drink a Coke (love the name!) has a tutorial for this adorable ruffleness.

And lets not forget about those handsome little men in our lives, they can't be without a Valentine's Day shirt! I am loving this "love skull" shirt made by Emily at The Boy Trifecta. She has the skull template on her blog all ready for you to grab and make.

Hope you have fun making some cute shirts for those little loves of yours to wear!

My Craft Room aka "The Party Room"

I have been meaning to share my craft room with you all!  This room used to be our "guest" bedroom.  We don't have guests out of town often so, we decided to make it my mommy cave.  My girls named this room "The Party Room".

Embarrased to share these "before" pics with you, but here's what the room used to look like......yuck!!!!  I can't believe I was able to get work done...ha!

Here's the wall before the zebra mural.....a HUGE THANK YOU to my friend, Jennifer for painting this mural....she's so talented!!!

Now...believe me....it DOES NOT always look as clean, but I picked it up before we took these pics! :)  Here's a "before" and "after" close up.....

What do you all think??  I love love being in my room!!!!
I never want to leave....next on my list is to get a tv on the wall :)
The scrapbook racks and tall black shelf were purchased on craigslist.  Most of the decor is from Hobby Lobby including the damask curtains.  The big piece with the cubes is from IKEA and so is the chandelier!  It was all done on a small budget and a little at a time so, it's all paid for cash....yaaay!!!
