DIY Cake Stand

Hello Everyone!
My Name is Kristy, but you can just call me DavesWife.
You can read about me over at The Diary of DavesWife where I Love to Spill it All!
I am incredibly excited to be sharing some of my DIY & Craft ideas here
at A to Zebra Celebrations!

Today I am going to show you a really easy & inexpensive way to make a Cake Stand.
A Few weeks ago, I was putting together a Birthday Party for my 3 year old.
And needed a Cherry Red Cake Plate to coordinate with my dessert table.

So I went to my "Stash"
(stash= pile of random items waiting to be used for something magnificent)
And came across these 2 pieces that I picked up shopping once upon a time.

Using some Wood Glue,
I glued the above {2} pieces together with the "bowl" turned upside down.
Let it dry for 24 hours.
And gave it a good couple of coats of My Favorite Red Spray Paint
And after letting it dry for at least 24 hours,
It was ready to be topped with a SUPER Cake.

And was one of the most talked about things at  My Little Man's Superman Birthday Party!

With a little Creativity and Hunting
Having a Gorgeous Cake Stand doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg!

A Big {Thanks} to Nancy for letting me share a bit of myself here today!
I can't wait to show you what  I have for next time!
